Automotive Systems Engineering (with specialization in Powertrain Engineering / Electric and Hybrid Vehicles)

The Automotive Research Association of India, popularly known as ARAI and Kalasalingam Academy of Research & Education (KARE), Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu, India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 22nd June 2021 to offer M.Tech. program in Automotive Systems Engineering (with specialization in Powertrain Engineering / Electric and Hybrid Vehicles) . The course admissions are open. Subsequently the course will start soon.

The duration of the program is two years. Students would be inducted at KARE in the first year and classes would be conducted at Krishnankoil, campus in the first two semesters learning the fundamentals. In the second year, students would go to Pune to study latest technologies and get hands-on practical exposure at ARAI Academy, which is famous for its Training and Learning Programs. The last semester of six months will be totally devoted to project work, which is generally sponsored by Automotive Industry or can also be carried out at ARAI or KARE based on student’s interest. Automotive Industry has welcomed this association, since this course would also allow some sponsored candidates from the industry to register.

This M.Tech program intends to develop a new breed of Automotive engineers required for the task of design and development in the future automotive industry.
