ARAI, over five decades has provided its design and development expertise to the Indian automotive industry, focusing on the testing, evaluation and certification of components, systems and vehicles to meet national and international standards. In addition to utilizing state-of-the-art technology, laboratories and highly-skilled personnel, ARAI recognizes the need to develop a new generation of engineers to meet the demands of the automotive industry, not just in India but across the globe.
It has embarked upon a programme of building up human resources by commencing Undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate Diploma (PGD), Post Graduate (PG) and Doctoral (Phd) program in the domain of Automotive Engineering with specialization in Electric Mobility (CASE). It has tied up with VIT University (Vellore), Christ University (Bengaluru), Cummins College of Engineering for women (Pune), Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune), College of Engineering (Pune), Chitkara University (Chandigarh), MIT-World Peace University (Pune), Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (Sangli), SRM-Institute of Science & Technology (Chennai) and Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (Virudhunagar).
The admission to various courses are done through various entrance exams at respective partner universities. The counselling/ interviews are done jointly by ARAI Academy and the partner university. Under these courses for last year student come to ARAI, Pune.. The students work in ARAI Laboratory, learns through practical, tutorial, assignments and interaction with ARAI engineers & faculty. They also learn while visiting various industries and listening to internal & external faculty. They are encouraged to review technical papers & patents, run simulation for prediction and design experiments for validation. They are encouraged to make reports and publish papers in various forums & conferences.
