ARAI Academy

ARAI has three strong verticals that it caters to: Testing & Certification, Research & Development and the Skill Development. The premier organisations like ARAI understands the necessity to support the nation's cause of skill development, especially in the area of automotive and allied domain.

ARAI Academy has 3 centres:
  • Learning Centre
  • Training Centre
  • Knowledge Centre

ARAI has embarked upon various initiatives of building human resources by commencing educational programs in collaboration with various universities in India and abroad. The purpose of these programmes is to create a new breed of engineers with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge to meet the needs of modern automotive industry.Since then, ARAI Academy has initiated series of other courses successively such as:

  • B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automotive Engineering) for regular students (2009) with VIT
  • M.Tech (ICEngines) for regular students (2009) with VTU
  • M.Tech (Automotive Electronics and Embedded Systems) for regular students (2009) with VTU
  • M.Tech (Automotive Technology) for regular students (2009) with CoEP
  • M.Tech (Automotive Technology) for regular students (2009) with UAB, USA and CoEP
  • M.Tech (Automotive Technology with specialization in Engine Technology) for Industry Professionals (2010) with VIT
  • Ph.D (Automotive Technology) for Industry Professionals (2013) with VIT
  • M.Tech (Powertrain Electronics) for Industry Professionals (2014) with VIT
  • B.Tech (Automotive Engineering) for regular students (2016) with Christ University
  • Student Exchange Program with Loughborough University (UK) and
  • Student Exchange Program with Technical University Braucschweig (Germany)

For all the above programs ARAI Academy takes care of student's placements and in the last semester, students undertake project, to be done under the location where the placement is done.

ARAI Academy has a Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), where we expect that the graduates will function in their profession with social awareness and responsibility. We also expect that some of the students will persue higher studies, will persue career in teaching or research, will become entrepreneurs and would help solve society's and industry's problems. Also we expect that most of the students would join industry for technology development, technology deployment or engineering system implementation in the industry.It has a clear Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs), the details of which are given below:

As per Automotive Mission Plan 2026 (AMP), if India has to become 3rd largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in the world, India will need 65 million new jobs to be created for the younger work force.
